The challenge
‘Tech-Augmented Hospitality’, ‘Connected Rooms’, ‘Attribute-Based Booking’ are amongst the top trends re-defining the future of the Travel and Hospitality Services Industry today and forward-thinking hotel chains are going back to the drawing board and reimagining the ways they will service their customers in the future. One such group venturing into new hotels engaged TransformX to help lay the foundational elements of technology architecture that would ideally enable them in building intelligent products geared towards the next generation of guests.
The approach
TransformX took on a blended approach by weaving in aspects of its Digital Transformation Roadmap and Digital Initiatives Oversight offerings. Led by TransformX Digital Transformation Experts, the client’s business, hospitality, and IT teams were involved in the end-to-end mapping of guest journeys through a series of workshops, deep dives and 1 on 1 interviews. The focus of the sessions was to develop process silos around property/food & beverage management, hotel automation, payment gateways, and integration strategies for backend operational systems like ERP, HRMS, and others. TransformX delivered a 5 year technology roadmap that factored in the geographical expansion and possibilities of multiple brand offerings for the chain.
The results
The project was a massive success. The roadmap is now allowing the hotel chain to further expand into new markets where they would replicate and expand the technologies identified and implemented to innovate on. It was a pleasure to have served our client with their needs and participate in their success!
