The challenge

As rapid digitization continues to become a global norm, board of directors and C-Suite of the pre-internet era organizations are being forced to rethink their business models and operational strategies through a digital lens. A lens, most of them did not experience or were trained in as they progressed through their distinguished careers and as a result, may not be as equipped with the knowhow of technological advancements and disruptions to guide the next generation of their business. A Corporate Governance Institute in Asia that has historically focused on enabling Board of Directors through various educational initiatives realized the non-digital nature of its offerings and internal operations and engaged TransformX to assist them in overcoming stagnated growth and identifying new revenue streams and jointly create new educational offerings to stay competitive.

The approach

Key leaders across all functional units were first engaged to conduct a Digital Maturity Assessment to identify efficiency gaps in systems used for operations and productivity, user experience of their customers, digital acumen of their employees. Multiple workshops, tailored 1×1 interviews and deep dives were conducted to gather the information needed to deliver a Digital Transformation Roadmap which was presented to the board of the institute.

The results

The board is in the process of allocating funds for the implementation of the recommendations set forth in the roadmap and TransformX has been further engaged to provide strategic guidance on all aspects of the implementations going forward. It continues to be a pleasure to serve our client with their needs and participate in their success!
